报告人简介:

Jean Pierre MAJORAL教授现任法国国家科学院特级名誉研究主任。曾担任法国波兰联合国际实验室主任以及法国国家科学院图卢兹«Laboratoire Chimie de Coordination»副主任。1972年于University of Toulouse取得博士学位,并于1973年在University East Anglia (UK)进行博士后研究。Jean Pierre MAJORAL教授是世界上首位从事含磷树形分子相关研究的学者,其研究兴趣主要为含磷树形分子的设计及其在药物化学以及材料科学领域的应用。其研究成果已经发表论文660篇,专利45项,编写书籍7册以及相关书籍章节29章。


报告摘要:

Among the different nanoparticles used for the development of both therapeutic and diagnosis agents, dendrimers and more precisely phosphorus dendrimers emerged as an original and efficient class of highly tunable and biocompatible soft organic nano-objects which may act either active per se or as nanocarriers to deliver several types of drugs.

Their anti-prions, anti-aging, anti-tumoral, anti-inflammatory properties were illustrated in our hands, as well as their ability to fight Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, some of the activities being based both on in vitro and in vivo models. Interestingly, due to their high potential to incorporate several metals (e.g. Cu (II), Au(I) or (III), Ru ((II)) in their internal structure or on their surface, strong anti-proliferative activities were found by us. Introduction on their surface of cationic groups afforded potent antibacterial agents.

Importantly, expanding classical drug administration ways by emerging routes using phosphorus dendrimers (e.g. intravenous, oral, transdermal, ocular, transmucosal) was investigated allowing to define a dendrimer space concept.

In the imaging domain, new classes of fully organic monodisperse nanoparticles incorporating phosphorus dendrimers, named ‘nano-dots’ with very high two photons absorption in the biological spectral window, were designed and developed.
